30 Day Challenge FAQs
How stringent is the plan?
The challenge is as tough as you would like it to be. You are in control. For example, if you find the first week to be too overwhelming, cut the “homework” in half. If you don’t like Monday’s breakfast, make a clean substitution.
What if I have food allergies?
If you have a common food allergy, chances are that you will encounter it on the CEC plan. No problem. If, for example, you are allergic to shellfish and there is a recipe for shrimp stir-fry, simply substitute a lean protein. Allergic to peanuts? Try dried edamame (soy nuts) instead.
What about eating out?
Remember your guidelines spelled out in Day One. Avoid sugary mixed drinks and sodas...stick with red wine or water. Forego fried foods, creamy dressings or sauces as well as dessert. Enjoy lean cuts of protein and lots of veggies. More details on CE eating out will be shared at the end of week one.
What if I don’t do social media?
The Elevated Fitness FB page and Twitter feed will be our go-to areas for sharing ideas, complaints, and success stories. If you need support but don’t do social media, email Amy directly. She can put you in contact with another CEC participant via email or text.
Do you really need my email address?
Yes. Starting with the initial plan/overview on January 30th, EF will send out a series of emails throughout the month of February. Each email will contain “homework” to help keep you on track toward your goal of getting clean. Most importantly, however, EF must have your email on file in order to be eligible for the $100 prize on March 3rd. EF does not share or sell your information.
Can I juice?
Absolutely. However, please limit the amount of fruit that you juice or blend. Sugars add up, whether they are natural or refined.
