Private or Group Training Sessions at Athletics Evolved - A friend of mine owns Athletics Evolved and has offered his property to Elevated Fitness for daytime boot camps and group or personal training. This is a perfect spot if you want complete privacy and do not currently hold a gym membership elsewhere. There are plenty of fun toys to play with and many items that you might not have even considered to be exercise equipment. Athletics Evolved is both an indoor and outdoor location where we focus more on building muscular strength and endurance. That doesn’t mean your heart won’t be pumping, though! Group training is offered to groups of 4 or less. You need not have a group in place to sign up for group training. Call us to register and receive directions. 575.749.6756
High Plains Boot Camp - Clovis’ original outdoor boot camp. This challenging outdoor workout is held at three different locations in Clovis: Hillcrest Park, Ned Houk Park and Athletics Evolved. Parents have organized a sitter to watch their kids at each location while they exercise. Please bring water, a beach towel or yoga mat and sunscreen. Participants will be grouped according to level of fitness to ensure that everyone gets a safe workout. Special pricing for returning boot campers. Amy teaches MWF, Meryl teaches TR.
TRX - The TRX is a body weight suspension training device used by professional athletes and average joes alike. The result is a full body workout based on functional movement. Lift, push and pull as much or as little of your own body weight as necessary. A great way to build strength without bulk, improve bone density and lean muscle. Jump start your metabolism with this awesome class! Located at the Clovis Aquatic / Wellness Center on 7th Street.
Spinning - Amy’s indoor cycling class is created around the Mad Dogg Athletics’ Johnny G Spinning Certification - the original class that started the Spinning craze. Spinning is an intense cardiovascular workout modeled after real outdoor rides and races, and is a great way for cyclists and exercisers to build both endurance and strength in the off-season. Today’s hit music as well as classic songs will help motivate you through this unique class. The use of a 36 pound fly-wheel and resistance knob allows riders to simulate hills, sprints, and flat road riding. Come check it out at the Cannon Air Force Base Fitness Center. CAFB attendees must have base access. Please bring water and your own towel. Heart rate monitors are recommended, but not required. Outdoor cyclists are welcome to bring cycling shoes with 2-bolt SPD cleats. Otherwise, regular athletic shoes do the trick! *Vibrams are discouraged; they can be uncomfortable for cycling and toe cages don’t work with most minimalist shoes.
