Meryl Binder has participated in sports, athletics, fitness, and recreation for as long she can remember. Meryl first developed a real interest in Sports Medicine and how the body worked during a class she took her senior year in high school. From there she went to Drexel University and pursued a degree in Sport Management where she played and helped coach Collegiate Club Volleyball and furthered her interest with extra classes and an internship with the Sports Medicine Department. After college, Meryl worked for a professional sports team in the Live Events Department for a few years.
Although the job was a great experience in many ways, Meryl realized that she had little time for herself and her health had deteriorated because of this. When she left the position she dove whole-heartedly into a new healthy lifestyle. Meryl began doing a lot of lifting, high interval training, and eating clean. She has not looked back.
Much of her day is spent in a gym or exercise setting either working out herself or helping others. For the past few years, Meryl has been assisting in coaching and realized that this is what she really wanted to do. She has a passion for helping others be the best they can be and helping people reach their goals. Meryl wants exercise to be something that you look forward to and wants you to leave feeling happy, excited, and wanting to come back for more. Her programming will be varied with a focus on strength and proper form. Workouts should be fun but challenging.
Meryl also likes to focus on the nutrition aspect of your healthy life style. She personally eats gluten free because of a gluten intolerance and mostly in a primal or paleo way. Although this may not be for everyone, it is a belief that clean eating will help you feel better by leaps and bounds. She will help make food your friend!
Meryl sees personal training and small group trainings at Athletics Evolved. If the gym isn’t really your thing, training is also offered in the privacy and comfort of your own home or local park.

For those of you who live outside of the local area or who just need a check-in from time to time, Meryl offers distance training and distance programming. This service is customized for you, and is performed through email, phone, and/or video chat. Email for more details.
